“Preservation of cultural Heritage and Strengthening of regional Identity”

 

International Scientific conference was held at 12th March, 2008 in College of Social Sciences.  The theme of the conference “Preservation of cultural Heritage and Strengthening of regional Identity”

Speakers and participants of the conference were  invited from all Lithuanian and Polish regions which are participating in the program. The conference concerned all, who are interested in culture and history of neighborhood regions and Minor’s Lithuania.

 The conference was held within the framework of INTERREG program project “Preservation of Lithuania Minor’s cultural Heritage and Strengthening of regional Identity”.

 

In the conference participated 15 speakers, from Klaipeda's University, Vytautas Magnus University, Olsztyn University, Lithuanian Institute of History, College of Social Sciences and Klaipëda Business and Technology College.

Speakers talked about Interaction of Neighborhood nations (Lithuania, Russia and Poland)  creating the cultural heritage,   Germanisms in Lithuanian and Polish,   Strengthening of the Identity of neighborhood regions,  Preservation of Lithuania Minor’s Nature and cultural Heritage, different Cultures in Klaipëda, conservative and modern  Management of the cultural heritage and  Heritage of the Neighborhood regions folklore.

After the conference will be published  post-conferential material.
